How strong is Victoire’s experience in insurance?

What is Auto Insurance?

Auto Insurance is insurance purchased for cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other road vehicles. Its primary use is to provide financial protection against physical damage and/or bodily injury resulting from traffic collisions and against liability that could also arise there from.

What to do if there is need for any subsequent change in the Insurance policy (e.g. change of address)?

This is is called "Endorsement"- the Client or Broker is to contact Victoire Insurance and explain the desired change. This may involve payment of additional premium in certain cases e.g. Insurance for new accessory fitted.

What to do if the car meets with an accident?

            As soon as possible, the client is to call and inform their Broker and immediately call an expert, listed in the motor expert booklet, to come calculate the accident’s risk, then call a towing truck (if needed).

            If the car is drivable, it may be taken to the workshop. If repaires are required, the car may be handed over to the garage for repairs and necessary Insurance claim formalities should be prepared. The client is to submit the following documents to the workshop.

  • Original Insurance policy
  • Original registration certificate
  • Original driving license of person driving the car at the time of accident
  • The Claim Declaration Form which should be filled-in by you. 
How is the client required to pay his/her share of repair costs to the workshop?

The garage will inform the client of the costs to be paid by him/her towards depreciation, extra job done etc. This must be paid to the garage before the repaired car is delivered back to you in cash.

What are the geographical limits of an Auto Insurance policy?

Any area outside Lebanon is covered by an Auto insurance policy called Card Orange, should have a Lebanese License plate. The client can cross any border, third party coverage outside Lebanon includes: Syria, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco.

What is pre-existing condition in health insurance policy?

It is a medical condition/disease that existed before the client obtained health insurance policy, and it is significant, because the insurance companies do not cover such pre-existing conditions, unless risk evaluation is made and approval under certain conditions is provided. 

How much time after getting an individual or family Medical coverage is maternity coverage approved?

Maternity is covered at least ONE year after the policy holder has been insured at Victoire

What is meant by Renewable Guarantee or Guaranteed Renewability (GR)?

After one year of enrollment, Victoire offers Guaranteed Renewability meaning a guarantee of the renewal of a person’s Medical policy without any particular limitation or exclusion and per the standards published, tariffs and conditions.

 

What kind of back up does Victoire have?

VICTOIRE is backed-up by first class reinsurers such as: Munich Re, Swiss Re, Hannover Re and NASCO France.

Can the payment be later than the date of policy issuance?

No, the payment has to be the same/ prior to the date of policy issuance.

 

What to do for renewal of Insurance?
  1. Renewal Notice will be sent to the client or to their Broker in advance. It will indicate the premium to be paid for renewal with the details of coverage.
  2. For All Risk: If payment is by Bank, the client will receive a call from Victoire Insurance reminding them of the expiry of their policy.
  3. The client may change the policy coverage details during this call.
  4. The client may also get in touch with Victoire Insurance either by calling our customer support desk or their broker to get their policy renewed.
  5. Collection personnel (Service Exterior) will visit the client’s place for payment collection and policy delivery.
  6. Collection Company (Collect) will visit the client’s place for payment collection.

 

What are the Documents required for accident Claim Settlement if the vehicle is repaired at a non-dealer workshop?

The following documents are required:

  • Policy Copy
  • Registration Copy
  • Driving License copy
  • Claim Declaration Form duly signed by the Insured
What to do in case of theft of accessories / car?

Depending on the coverage, if it is included then the client is to inform their Broker and fill in claim form and provide it to the Claims Department

Are family members covered in the motor third party liability insurance?

All Auto insurance policies cover family members.

If a person had previous insurance elsewhere, can he/she join Victoire even if the Policy has not yet expired?

Yes, the Underwriter will review the person’s file and request a transfer from the previous insurance provider to Victoire; certain documents will be requested from the person to be provided from their previous insurance dealer.

Would a newborn baby be provided with any coverage once it’s born?

Yes, a new born baby is covered upon birth provided that the policy holder has been insured at Victoire for more than ONE year.
